An 11-year-old boy from a community near Montreal is making sure his local food bank doesn’t fall short this holiday season.
Over the last month, Nathan Leduc-Lavigne has been collecting groceries and cash donations from his community to help out a local food bank desperate this year to stock its shelves.
Now his hard work is paying off, but as donations continue to pile in, another problem came up:finding enough free floor space in his house.
Filling up the basement
The idea came to Nathan when he was looking at his high school application, which he’ll be filling out in the new year.
He was asked what he would do to make his community better, which inspired him to do something right away.
